Abstract This Regulation (effective 1 Mar. 1992) was issued under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. It covers: interpretation; sanitation and accommodation; air quality (ventilation, temperature, air contaminants - TLVs have to be respected); illumination; noise; non-ionizing radiation; provision and use of protective equipment; handling and storage of materials; tools; construction and building safety; temporary structures (portable ladders, work platforms); storage and use of explosives; excavations and trenches; pits and quarries; equipment for materials handling and the carrying of personnel; mechanical safety; confined spaces; welding, cutting, burning and soldering; electrical safety; underwater diving; logging and silviculture; arboriculture. New Brunswick Regulations 77-1 and 89-66 are repealed, as are certain provisions of 77-58.
