Abstract This Act received assent on 9 February 1984 and commenced on 1 March 1984. It essentially implements in the Australian Capital Territory the provisions of the Dangerous Goods Act 1975 (see CIS 91-1763) of the State of New South Wales and the Regulations issued under it. It also provides for the appointment of a Chief Inspector of Dangerous Goods, for the issuing of certificates, for the making of regulations and various other matters. Amendments to May 1989 are included.
