Abstract This regulation (SR No.151 of 1993, gazetted on 23 Apr. 1993) was issued under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1983 (CIS 90-1407), and was issued too late to be included with the compendium of regulations analysed under CIS 92-710. It essentially enables employers to apply for an exemption from having to comply with exposure standards in workplaces where the airborne concentration of synthetic mineral fibres or synthetic mineral fibre dust exceeds such standards.
