Abstract These regulations (published in the Government Gazette No.64 of 19 July 1985, amended in 1986) were issued under the Noise Abatement Act 1972 and deemed to have been made under the Environment Protection Act 1986. They require the labelling of machinery to show the maximum acoustic output produced by it. The format of the labels required is shown in the annex.
