Abstract These regulations were made on 31 July 1984. They provide for: provision and use of protective clothing and equipment; knowledge of signs and symptoms of poisoning or illness due to pesticides and of safety directions on labels; adequate water supply; washing of protective clothing; periodical medical examinations. In the schedules: list of pesticides (with alternative names); protective clothing and equipment to be provided to pesticide workers; first-aid and treatment advice to be given to medical practitioners relating to pesticide poisoning; sample report sheet for the results of medical examinations of pesticide workers.
