Abstract Regulations issued under the Workplace Safety and Health Act (see CIS 87-1130). Regulation 52/88 concerns the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) for the provision of material safety data sheets and hazardous product labels, and employer exemptions from disclosure of product ingredients. Regulation 53/88 concerns the control of health hazards in the workplace, covering: fugitive emissions and hazardous wastes; inventory, evaluation and determination of health hazards of controlled products; worker exposure limits; monitoring airborne health hazards; control measures for airborne and non-airborne controlled products; employer hazard prevention plans; employer record keeping requirements. ACGIH TLVs and Biological Exposure Indices are adopted as exposure limits in the Province of Manitoba.
