Abstract This law replaces the Industrial Safety, Health and Welfare Act, 1972, hereby repealed. Contents: definition of terms; setting up of the South Australian Occupational Health and Safety Commission; general obligations of employers, employees, and others involved in the setting up of workplaces or the supply of chemical substances for use at the workplace; role and duties of health and safety representatives and committees; inspections; improvement and prohibition notices; review committees; protection against dismissal or unfavourable treatment of workers who make a complaint relating to OSH or who are health and safety representatives or committee members. In the schedules: scope of regulations to be issued under the Act.
