The guidance note includes the following sections: list of exposure limits for air pollution from 548 substances; list of 278 organic solvents with tentative exposure limits; list of exposure limits for 21 different types of dust; list of 5 process-related exposure limits (welding) (unchanged from the 1985 issue); list of 277 substances considered to be carcinogenic (an extension from the 1985 list of 42). List of intended changes: reduction of the exposure limit for 17 substances; addition of 11 substances; addition of 5 substances considered to be carcinogenic.
