| Abstract |
The Factories Act (No.56 of 1971) applies basically to all kinds of manufacturing industries, and covers the safety and health requirements to be satisfied by such enterprises. The Sawmilling and Woodworking Machinery Regulations provide details on machine guarding and other safety measures when using such machines. The Construction Regulations provide for safety measures on construction sites, particularly on excavation, scaffolding and means of access. |
