| Abstract |
This list was prepared in accordance with the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) of 1988. It contains the names of 44 substances or substance groups that have been selected for toxicity assessment within 3-5 years (depending on the substance). Criteria for selection were: (a) the substance has proven or potential adverse effects on human health or the environment; (b) the substance accumulates or could accumulate to significant concentrations in the environment or body tissue; (c) the substance is or may be released into the environment in significant quantities or concentrations. |
