Abstract Regulation prohibiting (except by written exemption issued by the Commissioner of Labour) or severely controlling the industrial use of certain substances judged to be carcinogenic. The prohibited substances are: beta-naphthylamine and its salts, benzidine and its salts, 4-aminodiphenyl and its salts, 4-nitrodiphenyl and its salts. Controlled substances are: alpha-naphthylamine and its salts, ortho-tolidine and its salts, dianisidine and its salts, dichlorobenzidine and its salts, auramine, magenta. A sample Health Register of Persons Employed in Connection with Carcinogenic Substances, with text in English and Chinese, is appended.
