Abstract This regulation applies to work where material containing asbestos is likely to be handled, disturbed or removed in 2 areas: construction and repair of buildings; repair, maintenance and demolition of machinery and transportation equipment. The regulation covers: maximum allowable concentration of asbestos in spraying material and pipe or boiler insulation material (1% generally); notification and inspection requirements; personal protection measures; hazard notices; cleaning up; decontamination measures; instruction and training.
