Abstract This standard (effective: 1 Dec. 1980) prescribes radiation protection measures to be adopted with the following non-medical work equipment and processes: industrial radiography; accelerators; neutron and electron generators; electron microscopes; electron-beam welders and evaporators; manufacture and testing of X-ray equipment. Contents: radiation sources; radiation protection against X-rays; determination of the thickness of lead shielding needed to reduce radiation to safe levels, equivalent thickness with other shielding materials; layout and dimensions of X-ray laboratories; radiation protection in industrial radiography.
