It provides that the packaging of carcinogens bear warnings conforming to Ordinance No.383 of 1983 (see CIS 84-107); it also provides that toxic or otherwise dangerous substances be identified by symbols (T = toxic, C = corrosive, Xn = harmful, Xi = irritant). An appendix includes a list of substances which cannot be used without special authorisation and a list of substances, the use of which can be limited by the Finnish Worker Protection Administration; for each substance, the 2 lists give standard wording for warnings.
