Abstract This law (effective 1 Jan. 1981) repeals Law No.23 of 1 Feb. 1952 on safety measures in workplaces. Chapters deal with: background and scope; occupational safety and health provisions concerning both employers and workers; safety committees; general obligations (employers, supervisors, workers, suppliers, etc.); working methods; premises and workplaces; machinery and equipment; dangerous substances and products; holidays; employment of children and young persons; health protection and medical examinations; state labour inspectorate; permits-to-work; penalties.
