They must be appointed in all undertakings, the central state institutions, and organs directing the economy. Safety inspectors must have completed higher or technical education and supplementary training in occupational safety and health (OSH). Duties are: proposals for ensuring and improving OSH, execution of measures; analysis of trends in OSH, execution of statutory requirements, training of workers, control of OSH measures, accident investigation.
