Abstract The regulations (effective 29 June 1978) prohibit the application of asbestos by spraying unless a special authorisation is obtained from the Inspectorate of Labour. Contents: requests for authorisation; conditions to be satisfied as regards the way in which the authorised spraying is carried out (use of crocidolite prohibited; wet method mandatory for preparation and spraying of asbestos; enclosure of process or dust removal by local exhaust ventilation; removal of deposited dust and waste disposal in hermetically sealed dustproof containers or bags; wearing of protective clothing and dust masks); warning notices placed 20m from the workplace prohibiting access to unauthorised persons.
