Abstract Contents of this Act (entry into force: 1 July 1977): conditions to be met by the working environment (workplaces, machine guarding, pressure vessels, harmful substances, etc.); employers' and workers' obligations; responsibilities of manufacturers, suppliers and importers of technical equipment and of toxic or harmful products; issuance of permits-to-work by the Labour Inspectorate; notification of occupational accidents and diseases; safety delegates, working environment committees, occupational safety and health service personnel; maternity leave entitlement, etc.; prohibition and limitation of employment of children and young persons; hours of work; remuneration; labour inspection; penalties.
