Abstract Pursuant to the Decree of the Council of State dated 11 Dec. 1975 (CIS 77-794), this Order prohibits the use of 12 substances (4-aminobiphenyl, 2-acetylaminofluorene, benzidine and its salts, bis(2-chloroethyl) ether, bis(chloromethyl) ether, p-dimethylaminoazobenzene, chloromethyl methyl ether, 20-methylcholanthrene, methylnitrosourea, 2-naphthylamine, 4-nitrobiphenyl, β-propiolactone). The Order makes provision for restrictions applying to 12 other substances (benzene, crocidolite, etc.), the extent of the individual restrictions being left to the discretion of the National Board of Occupational Safety and Health. A third group of substances is made subject to certain limitations prescribed in the 1975 Decree. Comments on the Order are given in Circular 3/77 of 10 Mar. 1977 (1p.).
