Abstract This decree (entry into force: 1 Dec. 1976) makes it mandatory for employers to keep a register listing all substances and processes which are potentially carcinogenic and the names of all their employees exposed to these substances or processes. If the use of such substances or processes cannot be avoided, employers are to make every effort to protect the exposed workers, who must undergo medical examinations and be informed of the hazards to which they are exposed. All records of individual exposure must be preserved after the hazardous employment has ceased, and be produced for labour inspectorate officials on request. CIS has only the Swedish version.
