Abstract This Ordinance repeals previous legislation on the subject and makes provision for: medical services for workers organised according to region and industrial sector; collaboration of public health physicians in in-plant occupational medical work in their district, in the prevention of occupational diseases and in periodic analysis of occupational disease incidence; medical treatment centres mandatory in plants employing 200 or more workers; specialised consultation rooms for workers in regional policlinics; special workers' hospitals with at least 250 beds as well as out-patient facilities. Groups of undertakings and large industrial complexes may build prophylactic centres with at least 100 beds.
