| Abstract |
These regulations dated 7 Mar. 1974 (entry into force: 1 Apr. 1974), repeal all previous regulations made under the Construction Safety Act, 1967. Contents: definitions; scaffolding and gear (tubular metal, timber; suspended scaffolding; scaffolding in connection with shipbuilding; portable timber ladders; formwork, etc.); demolition; excavation (shoring, shafts, wells, tunnels, cofferdams, caissons); compressed air work; electrical equipment; explosives; explosive powered tools; power driven plant and equipment; hoisting appliances (cranes, builders' hoists); personal protective equipment; amenities; emergency egress; first aid; fire precautions; safety supervisors; riggers; notification of employment injuries; penalties. Tables of time limits for underwater diving and stoppages during ascent are appended. |
