| Abstract |
This administrative ordinance (entry into force: 1 July 1975) is issued under the Czechoslovak Labour Code (CIS 66-1703). Sections 35-39 (p.222-223) define the obligations incumbent on the management of undertakings and on the higher authorities on which they depend, with respect to occupational safety and health: improvement of safety and industrial hygiene in step with the development of production; installation and maintenance of safety devices; mechanisation and automation of onerous work; training of safety personnel; assignment of workers to tasks commensurate with their capacity; prohibition of use of machinery which does not meet safety requirements; inspection and control to enforce observance of occupational safety and health rules; elimination of possible causes of occupational accidents and diseases; measurement of noise and pollution at workplaces; inspection and testing of new machinery and installations to ensure conformity with safety regulations. Section 40 (p.223) contains provisions concerning the supply of personal protective equipment and protective clothing. |
