This Order which was promulgated on 3 Mar. 1975 and entered into force on 1 Jan. 1975 (Art. 32bis/2,A on 1 Jan. 1976), adds a new Chapter I(bis) to the Order of 25 Sep. 1947. It concerns the obligation for workers, other than salaried employees, to use or wear the following types of equipment when working: suitable work clothes for the type of work performed; hard hat for workers in exposed workposts; suitable or protective footwear; gloves, knee pads, leggings, etc. All such work clothes and accessories, which must be approved by the plant physician and safety committee, remain the property of the employer, who must supply, issue, launder and repair them. Workers are not allowed to substitute their personally owned work clothes and accessories. |
