Design and construction must comply with Canadian National Building Code except where standards are prescribed by the regulations. Construction, alteration and demolition must conform to the Canadian Construction Safety Code or acceptable equivalent. Recognised standards and provisions governing: heating, ventilation, air conditioning; floor and wall openings; ladders, stairways, etc.; window cleaning; doors, windows, housekeeping, maintenance.
