| Abstract |
These regulations under the Labour Code, Part IV (Safety of Employees) specify that, after 16 October 1972, plans and specifications must be approved by a building authority before construction, major alteration or work affecting structural safety commences. Design and construction must comply with Canadian National Building Code except where standards are prescribed by the regulations. Construction, alteration and demolition must conform to the Canadian Construction Safety Code or acceptable equivalent. Recognised standards and provisions governing: heating, ventilation, air conditioning; floor and wall openings; ladders, stairways, etc.; window cleaning; doors, windows, housekeeping, maintenance. Replaced by CIS 86-1483. |
