Except in certain circumstances, operators must not commence a workshift without at least 8 consecutive hours of duty. Hours of service are limited on 10h driving and 10h total duty in a workshift to a maximum of 60h on duty during a work week, unless precluded by unusual operational requirements; mechanical failure, special cargoes; adverse road, traffic, weather conditions.
