Abstract These regulations were issued under the authority of the 1996 Act concerning safety and health at work (see CIS 98-5), as modified by 2002. Detailed safety rules are provided for the extractive industries that rely on drilling. Implementation in Cyprus of Council Directive 92/91/EEC of 3 November 1992 concerning the minimum requirements for improving the safety and health protection of workers in the mineral-extracting industries through drilling (see CIS 93-23).
