Abstract These regulations (issued under the authority of the 1996 Act concerning safety and health at work, see CIS 98-5) require enterprises to provide for safety representatives and/or safety delegates in function of the number of workers employed (1 safety delegate for 5-9 workers, 2 for 10-19 workers, 3 for 20-49 workers, 1 for each 50 workers thereafter; there must be a safety officer if the number of workers exceeds 200).
