Abstract These guidelines describe the Integrated Rural Accessibility Planning (IRAP) process. IRAP is currently being applied in about 15 countries around the world. The process is not uniform in these countries and depends on local characteristics. These guidelines attempt to describe a generic IRAP process. They are meant to guide the development of the process within the context of a particular country.
