Psychosocial counselling guideline for the survivors of industrial disasters

This handbook on psychosocial counselling has been developed to share practical guidelines for those working with survivors of traumatic incidents. In the aftermath of Rana Plaza the ILO with the support of Canada, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom worked with ActionAid to provide psychosocial counselling for 110 workers. This has helped them to slowly but surely regain confidence to play an active role in society. Through the experience of working with these survivors many lessons have been learned. This handbook on psychosocial counselling has therefore been developed to share practical guidelines for those working with survivors of traumatic incidents
