Women entrepreneurs leading the way: Promoting a circular economy and more sustainable practices in the garment sector

Implimentation of a Pilot of an Employment Injury Scheme (EIS) in Bangladesh

The ILO is advocating for a Pilot EIS in Bangladesh in the ready-made garments sector, which will protect the employers from reputational risk and catatrophic loss arising from industrial accidents, and provide a periodic scheme for those injured in the workplace, as well as the dependents of deceased workers.
