Labour Inspection Management Workshop

Labour Inspection Management Workshop will shed light on the organizational structure and the business processes of the Department of Inspection of Factories and Establishments of the Government of Bangladesh aimed at improving capacity of the labour inspection system.

The Improving Working Conditions in the Ready Made Garment (RMG) Programme of the ILO aims to support the Government to significantly improve the capacity of its inspection system through gradual improvement of the legislative and policy framework, equipping and training of the current and newly recruited inspectors, support to improving the organizational structure and the business processes of the Department of Inspection of Factories and Establishments.

A Labour Inspection Management Workshop will be held on 23-24 June 2014 in Dhaka to attain the above objectives. The objectives of the workshop is to discuss the labour inspection management process, sharing good practices and example of reform process from the other countries and identifying current challenges of the labour inspection mechanism in Bangladesh. The workshop also aims to develop a Road Map to address the response to the current challenges and to build a modern and effective Labour Inspection Management and System in Bangladesh.
