Promoting and realizing freedom of Association and collective bargaining by building trust and capacity in industrial relations
Putting the principles of freedom of association and collective bargaining into effective practice is the project's chief aim. An effective industrial relations system is essential: to meet the needs of government, employers and workers. New legislation envisioned and drawn up through the government's Labour Law Reform Programme are vital to the establishment of a solid foundation. Currently, there are three key pieces of legislation: the Trade Union Act, Manpower Act and a Dispute Settlement Act.
