Diversify to develop - Sri Lanka's way forward (ILO LEED project)

People in Sri Lanka's Northern Province have move forward on their way to rebuild their livelihoods in a more sustainable way. The farmers have diversified their crops from papayas to cassavas, passion fruits and okras. The fishermen will have steady incomes even during the closed season because they’ve started environmentally-friendly sea farming.
