CALL FOR PROPOSALS: State of Decent Work in Tea Small Holding Sector - Implications on Future of Work

ILO Country Office for Sri Lanka & Maldives calls for proposals from experienced qualified institutions/individuals to conduct a rapid assessment to understand state of decent work among the tea small holders and its implications on future of work in the plantation industry

The Tea Smallholding Development Authority (TSHDA) defines a tea small holder as a person who hold less than 10 Acres (4 Ha) of tea land where tea is grown for the purpose of converting to made tea. The process involves identifying the specific geographical areas (high, middle and low land) for study. The smallholder entities should be proportionately represented to reflect the diversity that exists among themselves in terms of size and nature of operation.
Submission of Proposals
Please submit your proposal based on the attached terms of reference with the following details:

1. Up to four page proposal with methodology of the rapid assessment;
2. Detailed work plan with deliverables with specific time frames;
3. Detailed budget;
4. CVs and qualifications of the consultant who will undertake the assessment.
5. Profile of the institution ( if research institutes are applying )
