Institutional Memory

The Century Project, together with the ILO archives and the ILO library, contributes towards building institutional memory. The experiences of people who have worked with the ILO are a source of historical knowledge. The Century project makes this information available to researchers and the general public at large.
- Oral archives: The Century Project has conducted a number of interviews with constituents and former staff members. The transcripts can be requested at research@ilo.org.
- Timeline: By illuminating historical turning points and ILO milestones, the timeline links the ILO and its activities to the larger historical context.
- Friends newsletter Between 1986 and 2016, former ILO officials shared personal experiences and opinions in a newsletter. It is now a useful source of historical information.
