    ILO and JICA exchange information on value chain analysis in Belize

    The exchange was very meaningful and both the ILO and JICA are working with the Government to identify and complete high potential value chain analysis considering the country’s current investment and potential investment direction.

    ILO delivers keynote address on labour market inclusion to round table in Curacao

    The round table allowed stakeholders to discuss issues pertinent to crisis migration, aliens and population policy and the right 'match' of 'skills' and work. Guest speakers included Mr. Fabio Siani from the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR/ACNUR, renowned entrepreneur Mr. Jean Fayad, speaking on behalf of the private sector, and Mrs. Natalie Molina Rodriguez, a Venezuela migrant.

  7. National External Collaborator (Consultant) for the Elaboration of the National Apprenticeship Policy for The Bahamas

    The main objective of this assignment is the development of a National Apprenticeship Policy (NAP) for The Bahamas and its respective action plan. The NAP should be elaborated following a participatory, consultative, and technically informed planning process, including extensive consultations with the main stakeholders. New extended deadline for submission of proposal: 10 March 2023.

    Suriname signs Decent Work Country Programme III

    On Friday 10 February 2023, Suriname officially signed its third DWCP. DWCPs are the main vehicle for delivery of ILO support to countries and have two main objectives: to promote decent work and its normative framework as a key component of national development strategies; to organize ILO’s knowledge, instruments, advocacy and cooperation at the service of tripartite constituents in a results-based framework to advance the decent work agenda.
