ILO and tripartite partners to discuss latest data on COVID-19 impact on Caribbean labour markets and solutions for post-pandemic recovery

The International Labour Organization (ILO) Decent Work Team and Office for the Caribbean will host a virtual panel next week entitled Creating a post-pandemic Future of Work in the Caribbean: Recommendations for achieving resilient labour markets, to discuss the most recent data on how COVID-19 is affecting the world of work in the Caribbean.

During the event, the ILO will present the main findings of the report “COVID-19 and the English- and Dutch-speaking Caribbean labour market. A rapid assessment of impact and policy responses at the end of Q3, 2020”. The presentation will be followed by a discussion on the potential way forward for national- and regional-level responses featuring a panel of expert speakers from the ILO, as well as tripartite representatives from government, employers’ organizations and workers’ organizations.

Speakers, panelists and moderators will include:
