ILO pays courtesy visit to Minister of Labour

Dr. Ana Teresa Romero, Director, International Labour Organization, Subregional Office for the Caribbean, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Errol McLeod, Minister of Labour and Small and Micro Enterprise Development, at the Ministry's office on Melbourne Street, Port of Spain. The discussions focused on areas for continued ILO support in line with the Decent Work Agenda, a people-centred development approach which focuses on respect for rights at work, employment creation, social protection and social dialogue. The ILO reiterated its commitment to working with the Ministry of Labour and Small and Micro Enterprise Development and representatives of employers' organizations and trade unions in order to advance towards the goal of decent work for all.
