Bermuda's Minister of Labour pays courtesy visit to ILO

Senator the Hon. Lt. Col. David Burch, Minister of Labour, Home Affairs and Housing, paid a courtesy visit to the International Labour Organization, Subregional Office for the Caribbean, based in Trinidad and Tobago on 27 July 2010. The visit presented an opportunity to meet with Dr. Ana Teresa Romero, Director, and Mr. Rainer Pritzer, Senior Specialist, Social Dialogue and Labour Administration of the ILO, to discuss technical support for his Ministry.

The Minister was in Trinidad and Tobago for the 35th Conference of the Caribbean, Americas and Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. Bermuda is one of eight overseas territories covered by the ILO Subregional Office for the Caribbean. The Office also services 13 CARICOM Member States, which include Trinidad and Tobago.
