    On 1 June 2015, José Manuel Salazar Xirinachs of Costa Rica assumed the role of ILO Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.

    The MOU was signed at the ILO’s Brussels Office, which CEC and CCL were visiting as part of a study tour to gain insight into social dialogue mechanisms within the European Union.

  1. Independent evaluation of the ILO’s decent work country programmes, strategies and actions in the Caribbean (2010-15)

    1 April - 31 July 2015

    The ILO is conducting an evaluation of the ILO’s decent work country programmes, strategies and actions in the Caribbean. The evaluation will be managed by the Evaluation Office in close coordination with the ILO DWT/CO-Port of Spain and the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (RO-Lima) DWT/CO- Port of Spain.

  2. 9th ILO Caribbean Labour Ministers' Meeting - Decent Work for Sustainable Development

    3 - 4 March 2015

    The Meeting will address labour issues which are high on the agenda of the labour administrations within the region, with a particular focus on youth employment, green economy and the implementation of the Decent Work Agenda in the Caribbean

    Ford Foundation-ILO High level event: "Employment and Decent Work for Inclusive and Sustainable Development"

    In the context of the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly, this high-level event brought together Heads of State and Government from developed and emerging economies with key actors of the real economy to discuss the role of Employment and Decent Work in the post-2015 development agenda.
