COVID-19 and the world of work
OSH in the construction sector
The webinar will address the key issues related to OSH in the construction sector and will look into practical measures designed to help employers, workers and the self-employed in the construction sector work safely in times of COVID-19.
Construction is one of the largest and most hazardous industrial sectors globally. Construction workers suffer a high number of work accidents, especially severe and fatal ones, which raise a serious concern of the tripartite constituents of the ILO. The causes of accidents are well known and almost all preventable, and as other business issues, occupational safety and health (OSH) can be managed in the enterprise.
