Webinar: Knowledge sharing session on the recently concluded 43rd meeting of the ILO/CINTERFOR Technical Committee

Hassan Ndahi, Senior Specialist, Skills and Employability with the ILO Decent Work Team and Office for the Caribbean and Mr. Steve Arman, CEO of the National Training Agency of Trinidad and Tobago, will present on this topic, followed by a 30 minute question and answer session.

The 43rd Technical Committee Meeting (TCM) of the ILO/Cinterfor was held from 9 - 11 August 2017 in San José, Costa Rica under the theme of the future of work and the challenges for vocational training. With the generous sponsorship of the National Institute of Learning (INA in Spanish), this meeting brought together representatives of a wide range of vocational training institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean who specialize in training and human resource development.  One of the highlights of the meeting was a major review of and discussion about the priorities of vocational training, exchange of experiences and cooperation activities.

The Webinar will share knowledge and information from the three-day meeting pertinent to the development of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the Caribbean.

Attending this Webinar is by invitation only as it targets the TVET institutions in the Caribbean region.  Persons receiving the invitation are asked to register interest by 19 October 2017 to ilocarib@ilo.org  bearing in mind that limited space is available for this event.
