Dr. Hassan Ndahi

Senior Specialist, Skills and Employability

Dr. Hassan Bata Ndahi assumed the position of Senior Specialist, Skills and Employability, ILO Office for the Caribbean on 14 May 2008. A citizen of the United States, Dr. Ndahi holds a Doctor of Education Degree in Vocational and Technical Education, and a Master of Science Degree in Trade and Industrial Education, from Oklahoma State University (US).

Prior to joining ILO Port-of-Spain, Dr. Ndahi worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational and Technical Studies, Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia, USA (1998 to May 2008). Between 1994 and 1998, he was a Research Associate at the Independent and Correspondence Study office at Oklahoma State University, and from 1982-1992 he taught vocational and technical education at the secondary school level in Nigeria.

The subjects of Dr. Ndahi’s research and publications encompass: technology education; vocational and technical education; computer literacy; gender inequity in industrial technical education; and distance learning. He is a member of several professional associations, including: the American Society for Engineering Education; the International Technology Education Association; the National Association of Industrial and Technical Teacher Educators; the Association for Career and Technical Education; and, the American Society for Training and Development.

Dr. Ndahi is a recipient of the Distinguished Technology Educator award by the International Technology Education Association.
