The report provides a review and analysis of the current legal and institutional framework and functioning of the Economic and Social Council at national level with the aim to identify deficiencies and problems and to make recommendations for the improvement and promotion of its work and to enable conditions for engaging into a more efficient and effective social dialogue.
The report has been developed based on a review and analysis of the applicable legislation concerning social dialogue in the FYR Macedonia, desk research of documents, and materials pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the council, as well as based on consultations with relevant stakeholders.
