  2. TACKLE end of project global stakeholders workshop

    2 - 3 July 2013, Brussels

    'TACKLE', Tackling child labour through education, is a joint project of the European Commission and the ILO with the support of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP). Launched in 2008, TACKLE aims at fighting child labour in 12 countries. An end of project global workshop takes place in Brussels on 2 and 3 July 2013.

  3. Open forum on the impact of the crisis on children in the South,

    An open forum on the "Impact of the crisis on children in the South", organized by the Flemish Children's Rights Coalition and with participation of ILO-Brussels.

  4. 2nd co-operative banks dialogue with academics and stakeholders

    14 May 2013, European Parliament, Brussels

    Organized by the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB), this roundtable meeting will allow researchers, academics, policy makers, co-operative banks and relevant stakeholders to present their reflections and discuss their expectations for the future. The ILO will present recent findings on financial cooperatives.

  6. Training course "Promoting labour standards through Corporate Social Responsibility - instruments and Practices"

    22 - 26 April 2013, International Trainin Centre of the ILO, Turin

    By analysing international frameworks and trends on corporate social responsibility, this training aims to strengthen the capacity to promote international labour standards and apply them in the framework of corporate social responsibility.

  7. Industrial relations and social dialogue in Europe 2012

    15 - 16 April 2013, Budapest

    A conference organized by the European Commission in Budapest on 15 and 16 April 2013, with the participation of ILO Director-General Guy Ryder.

  8. Training "Identifying and investigating cases of forced labour and human trafficking"

    15 - 19 April 2013, Turin

    This course, organized by the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, will train participants to better identify and investigate cases of forced labour, including trafficking in human beings for labour exploitation. It will introduce forced labour indicators and address different stages of the investigative process, such as victim interviews and gathering evidence, with a focus on the pre-trial phase. The course will focus on forced labour occurring in the private economy (including textile, agriculture, domestic work sectors).

  9. 9th European Regional Meeting

    8 - 11 April 2013, Oslo, Norway

    The 9th European Regional Meeting (ERM) will provide the space for governments and worker and employer organisations, from across Europe and Central Asia to discuss the response to the economic and jobs crisis in a diverse and complex region: creating job-rich growth, promoting quality jobs through social dialogue, tackling youth unemployment and demographic challenges, promoting labour standards and policy coherence.

  10. Breakfast debate: "Personal and household services: inclusion of workers and job opportunities within the formal economy"

    28 March 2013, Brussels

    The debate was organized by Edenred and Toute l’Europe.eu in Brussels on 28 March 2013. It focused on different topics such as the risks of a shadow economy, the solutions to create jobs within a formalized framework, the positive impact for governments to invest in such measures, aspects of decent work, ways of including domestic workers within society and of tackling risks of poverty, the support to personal and care services and access to quality and affordable social services for all.
