Resolution on “Recovering from the world financial and economic crisis: a Global Jobs Pact” adopted by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)

The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) adopted the Resolution on International Labour Organization welcomes the adoption of a Resolution on “Recovering from the world financial and economic crisis: a Global Jobs Pact” in July 2011. The Resolution recognizes the ongoing impact of the financial and economic crisis on employment and requests the UN system and the international financial institutions to take into account the Global Jobs Pact in their respective policies and programs and to inform on progress made in the implementation of the resolution.
