EU and Benelux participation in 102nd International Labour Conference

On 14 June, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy will address the 102nd session of the International Labour Conference. EU Commissioner László Andor as well as the three Benelux Employment Ministers will also attend the ILC.

On 14 June, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy will address the 102nd session of the International Labour Conference. The three Benelux Employment Ministers will also attend the ILC.

On 18 June, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion László Andor will address the international labour conference.

Belgian Employment minister Monica De Coninck, Dutch Employment minister Lodewijk Asscher and Luxembourg Labour Minister Nicolas Schmit will also participate in the ILO conference, focussing on green jobs, social protection and social dialogue. The ILO and the Irish EU Council Presidency will hold on 18 June an informal ministerial meeting on ensuring decent working conditions for domestic workers.

On 17 June, a “World of Work” summit will take place at the ILC with the participation of Dr. Frank Vandenbroucke, Belgian academic and former Employment Minster.
