Belgian labour council urges government to ratify ILO Convention 189

The Belgian National Labour Council urged the Belgian government to promptly ratify ILO Convention No. 189 in a joint opinion published on 18 December 2012.

The Belgian National Labour Council urged the Belgian government to promptly ratify ILO Convention No. 189 in a joint opinion published on 18 December 2012. The Belgian government already committed itself to ratify the Convention Concerning Decent Work for Domestic Workers No. 189. Belgium could play a crucial role becoming one of the first European countries to ratify the Convention, after Italy, who has already ratified.
